ORIX Buffaloes want to renew contract with Alessandro Maestri. According to a report by GrandeSlam.net based on a Japanese newspaper article, the NPB club wants to retain the services of the Italian right-hander through the 2014 season.
Maestri is 4-4 with an ERA of 4.96 in 16 games for the Buffaloes this season. He has struck out 31 in 61 2/3 innings, while walking 26. Now he has to decide if he wants to stay.
